javascriptで、ES2019より追加されたtrimStartを使用して、文字列の先頭にある空白を除去するサンプルコードを記述してます。

trimStart使い方

「trimStart」を使用すると、文字列の先頭にある空白だけを除去することが可能です。

const str = '  hello world    '.trimStart();

console.log(str);

実行結果

全角の空白も同様に除去されます。

const str = '　　hello　world　　'.trimStart();

console.log(str);

実行結果

正規表現を使用

正規表現を使用しても、削除することが可能です。

const str = '　　hello　world　　'.replace(/^\s+/g,'');

console.log(str);

実行結果

パフォーマンスは、ブラウザによります。

前後の空白の除去処理で「trim」と「replace(正規表現)」のパフォーマンスを計測する

以下は、
「実行」ボタンをクリックすると、フォームに入力した値の先頭の空白のみを除去する
サンプルコードとなります。

※cssには「bootstrap5」を使用してます。「bootstrap5」は、IEのサポートを終了してます。関数はアロー関数を使用してます。
